NOVARA Expedition
A sailing ship named after the frigate Novara of the Imperial Austro Hungarian Navy will repeat the circumnavigation of the globe under Austrian flag and serve as a platform for innovation in science and communication for two years from 2007 - 2009.
The expedition of the Novara will start in Trieste, Italy and is intended to contribute to the international understanding in science, culture, ecology and economy beyond all cultural and religious boundaries. It will give a proof of Europe's leadership in culture, science, and technology.
