www.das-seepferdchen.de
Well over 130 guests accepted the invitation to join the DVV Media Group on 8 September in Hamburg for the traditional SMM reception staged by Germany’s leading maritime industry publications Ship&Offshore and Schiff&Hafen. The reception was held on Wednesday evening. The guests were taken by a Porsche Cayenne shuttle service to the well-known Seepferdchen restaurant in Hamburg’s historic fish market.
The event carried on until way past midnight and the guests used the convivial atmosphere with buffet and drinks to make new business contacts in an informal, friendly atmosphere, and also to meet up once more with many old friends and business partners.

Dinner Cruise
Dinner Cruise on board the schooner “Mare Frisium”
A selected number of relatives, friends, business partners and staff were sharing the privilege of a cruise on the river Elbe during SMM 2010. They were following Peter Palmai’s invitation, owner and CEO of DHV - a diesel engine spare parts and service company in Northern Germany, to join a dinner cruise on board a three mast topsail schooner.
The “Mare Frisium” was launched in 1916 (!) in the Netherlands and originally served as a fishing boat and cargo ship, until its present owner discovered the hidden beauty of this ship in 1995 and got it carefully restored.
