A homeplay for the Dutch

The first Europort Maritime after the take over from RAI and under the management of ahoy rotterdam had transpired into what the original meaning of the Dutch word “Jaarsbeurs” was - a huge “homeplay” for the Dutch maritime and inland waterways industry. Great for the Dutch but not attractive at all for the majority of international exhibitors and visitors.

Six Austrian companies had been sharing a stand designed and contracted by AMEM and well supported by the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and its The Hague Office. The greatest attraction was a typical “Heurigen” every afternoon which offered a wide selection of genuine Austrian food and beverage.

AMEM actively participated in the EMEC General Assembly held at the premises of IMTECH in the morning and the EMEC Network Meeting in the afternoon of November 3, 2005. Rotterdam’s most attractive harbour and waterfront sites provided the background for a very romantic dinner cruise on board the classic yacht Thalassa Royal.
