The Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) on behalf of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Economics and Labour, and in conjunction with the European Commission's Directorate General for Research, was organising a conference on European Technology Platforms in the context of the Austrian EU Presidency (January - July 2006). This major event, involving more than 400 delegates, took place on the 4th and 5th of May 2006 in Vienna.

The main objective of this Conference was to bring together stakeholders, industry, SMEs, the research community, the financial institutions, regulators, consumer organisations and representatives of civil society to discuss issues related to European Technology Platforms in order to provide input for their future development and implementation.

Supported by ACMARE and partly sponsored by AMEM, the European Technology Platform Waterborne was presented well to the protagonists of this Conference and the delegates.

The dinner reception and its unique venue – Technisches Museum Wien – sponsored by AVL and Siemens – will be ranking high in the memories of the delegates.
